Hello everyone,

I hope that this finds you all well in Canada, the US, Israel, and anywhere else you may find yourself.

Like any true Canadian, I think that weather is a topic worthy of discussion. We are currently experiencing the hot season...the temperature and humidity is very high, making it quite unbearable to go out in the afternoons. The thermometer gets up to at least 40 degrees, and that doesn't take into account the pre-monsoon humidity, which puts the temperature up into the high 50's!

We are all doing well, despite the heat. Clara is already 10.5 months, and I can't believe how quickly time is passing! She is pulling herself up, 'cruising' along furniture and 'walking' along when we hold her hands. It truly is amazing.

We went and saw and amateur play this past weekend. It was quite good, and it was nice to realize that we have made quite a few friends here.

The political situation has calmed down for the moment. There is a military 'caretaker' government in place, which is trying (at least on the surface) to clean up some of the rampant corruption. There have been some very high profile arrests, and efforts have been made to shake up the traditional 2 party system. The two leaders claim their authority through family connections, not through merit. However, it seems that when the next elections take place (whenever that may be), the country will still be split along the lines of the same 2 parties.
