Clara at 6 months
Yesterday we celebrated Clara's 6 month birthday. It is amazing to us, and all new parents I'm sure, how quickly 'pre-baby' life becomes a distant memory.
Here is a photo we took at our rented condo in Vancouver immediately after arriving home from the hospital. I think that in the background you can hear Mark and I thinking, "Uh oh, NOW what do we do?" :-)
And here is a photo that we took yesterday.

Clara is still going to bed early (around 6:00, if I can keep her up that long), but she is sleeping through the night a little better now. She was starting to wake up every 3-4 hours for a feeding, so that was an excellent indication that she needed some extra, solid food. We started to feed her cereal after we returned from our Malaysia vacation, and she really seems to like it. She smacks her gums, and leans forward into the spoon. Now she is only getting up once in the evening, and we pick her up for the day at around 7:00am. (Subject to change, of course! ;-)

We hope that this finds everyone well, and I'll update again soon!
Love,
Brenda, Mark & Clara

Reading about 6pm bedtimes and 7am wake-ups has me jealous. Sienna has definitely not found her sleeping groove yet. Clara is so lovely and with the most sparkly eyes. Congrats for making it to 6 mo and still smiling! Hope you guys continue to be safe and spared from the conflict in Dhaka that we're reading about.

Hey Brenda! Love the pictures and hearing about your trip. I think you guys are amazing for the adventure you're on, and with a new baby to boot! Congratulations for your bravery:) And Clara is beautiful! Lyla just turned 1, and Callie is almost 5 and I am wondering where the time went.... Anyways, take care,
Kristi & Denton
